Rat BAFF (for B cell activating factor belonging to the TNF family) is a newly discovered novel ligand of the TNF family. BAFF plays an important role as co-stimulator of B cell proliferation and function. Recombinant rat BAFF is a soluble protein containing 184 amino acid residues (MW 20.7 kDa).
