Description
Beauvercin is an enniatin mycotoxin isolated from fungus Beauveria sp. It has shown cytotoxic properties against insect cells SF-9 and induces apoptosis with IC₅₀ value of 4.5 µM. It has shown to affect mitochondria by depleting the transmembrane potential, inducing swelling and decreasing calcium retention capacity.
