Description

CD47/IAP | E21-321 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Short Description: Recombinant Human Leukocyte Surface Antigen CD47 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Gln19-Pro139 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.

Shipping: Ambient

Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 m filtered solution of 10mM Tris-Citrate, 150mM NaCl, pH 8.0.

Storage: Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20C for 3 months.

Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 g /ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/g (1 IEU/g) as determined by LAL test.

Background: CD47 (Integrin-Associated Protein, IAP) is a 40 60 kDa variably glycosylated atypical member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The ubiquitously expressed CD47 binds to SIRP family members on macrophages, neutrophils, and T cells. CD47 is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration that occurs upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix. The protein is also a receptor for the C-terminal cell-binding domain of thrombospondin, and it may play a role in membrane transport and signal transduction. This protein has broad tissue distribution, and is reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes.
