Description
CDE-096 is a high affinity, synthetic inactivator of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1). CDE-096 binds to PAI-1 with nanomolar affinity and induces conformational changes that prevent binding to both proteases and vitronectin. This allosteric mechanism is characterized by reciprocal communication between the high-affinity compound-binding and vitronectin-binding sites.
