Description

CDK5R1 Antibody (N-term) [APG03206G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies

Host: Rabbit

Species Reactivity: H, M

Specificity: This CDK5R1 antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 30-64 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CDK5R1.

Cellular Localisation: [Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1, p35]: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor; Cytoplasmic side. Cell projection, neuron projection. Note=In the primary cortical neurons, p35 is present in the peripheries and nerve terminals.

Molecular Weight: 34060

Clone: Polyclonal

Gene Name: CDK5R1

Gene ID: 8851

Function: p35 is a neuron specific activator of CDK5. The complex p35/CDK5 is required for neurite outgrowth and cortical lamination. Involved in dendritic spine morphogenesis by mediating the EFNA1-EPHA4 signaling. Activator of TPKII. The complex p35/CDK5 participates in the regulation of the circadian clock by modulating the function of CLOCK protein: phosphorylates CLOCK at 'Thr-451' and 'Thr-461' and regulates the transcriptional activity of the CLOCK-ARNTL/BMAL1 heterodimer in association with altered stability and subcellular distribution.

Summary: Tissue Location: Brain and neuron specific.

Form: N/A

Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
