BACKGROUND: CSGlcA-T belongs to the chondroitin N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase family. It transfers glucuronic acid (GlcUA) from UDP-GlcUA to N-acetylgalactosamine residues on the non-reducing end of the elongating chondroitin polymer. CSGlcA-T has no N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase activity.
