Description
ENSA Antibody (Center) [APR11832G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This ENSA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 39-66 amino acids from the Central region of human ENSA.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm.
Molecular Weight: 13389
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: ENSA
Gene ID: 2029
Function: Protein phosphatase inhibitor that specifically inhibits protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) during mitosis. When phosphorylated at Ser-67 during mitosis, specifically interacts with PPP2R2D (PR55-delta) and inhibits its activity, leading to inactivation of PP2A, an essential condition to keep cyclin-B1-CDK1 activity high during M phase (By similarity) . Also acts as a stimulator of insulin secretion by interacting with sulfonylurea receptor (ABCC8), thereby preventing sulfonylurea from binding to its receptor and reducing K (ATP) channel currents.
Summary: Tissue Location: Widely expressed with high levels in skeletal muscle and brain and lower levels in the pancreas
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, FC
Dilution: WB--1:1000 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Alpha-endosulfine, ARPP-19e, ENSA
