Description
ESCO2 Antibody (Center) [APR30665G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This ESCO2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 132-161 amino acids from the Central region of human ESCO2.
Cellular Localisation: Nucleus. Chromosome. Note=Nuclear in interphase cells, excluded from chromosomes during metaphase but reassociates with chromosomes in telophase.
Molecular Weight: 68307
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: ESCO2
Gene ID: 157570
Function: Acetyltransferase required for the establishment of sister chromatid cohesion (PubMed:15821733, PubMed:15958495) . Couples the processes of cohesion and DNA replication to ensure that only sister chromatids become paired together. In contrast to the structural cohesins, the deposition and establishment factors are required only during the S phase. Acetylates the cohesin component SMC3 (PubMed:21111234) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Widely expressed in fetal tissues. In adult, it is expressed in thymus, placenta and small intestine
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, FC
Dilution: WB--1:2000
Synonyms: N-acetyltransferase ESCO2, 231-, Establishment of cohesion 1 homolog 2, ECO1 homolog 2, ESCO2
