FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3, CD135) is a transmembrane ligand-activated receptor protein that belongs to the receptor tyrosine kinase class III. It is expressed on the surface of multiple hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. FLT3 serves as an efficient cell surface marker to predict the type of cell, differentiation stage, and cell activity. FLT3 also regulates cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation via various signaling pathways such as PI3K, RAS, and STAT. Mutations of FLT3 are associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and, hence FLT3 could be an efficient prognostic marker to predict the adverse outcome of the disease. FLT3 inhibitors such as Gilteritinib, Midostaurin, Sorafenib have demonstrated considerable success in the treatment of AML patients positive for FLT3. ’s FLT3 (Human) ELISA kit quantitatively measures FLT3 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added to the plate, and post-incubation any unattached conjugates are washed off by Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of FLT3 in the sample or standard.
