Description

GABAA Rα1 (L361) polyclonal Antibody | BS3563 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat

Application: IHC

Application Range: IHC:1:50~1:200

Background: GABA has been shown to activate both ionotropic (GABAA) and metabotropic (GABAB) receptors as well as a third class of receptors called GABAC. Both GABAA and GABAC are ligand-gated ion channels, however, they are structurally and functionally distinct. Members of the GABAA receptor family include GABAA Rα1-6, GABAA R β1-3, GABAA Rγ1-3, GABAA Rδ, GABAA Rε, GABAA Rρ1 and GABAA Rρ2. The GABAB family is composed of GABAB R1α and GABAB R1β. GABA transporters have also been identified and include GABA T-1, GABA T-2 and GABA T-3 (also designated GAT-1, -2, and -3) . The GABA transporters function to terminate GABA action.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: GABAA Rα1 (L361) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of GABAA Rα1 protein.

Molecular Weight: ~ 52 kDa

Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.

Alternative Names: Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-1; GABA (A) receptor subunit alpha-1; GABRA1; GABAARα1

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 330-380 of Human GABAA Rα1.

Conjugate: Unconjugated

Modification: Unmodification

Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
