GNE-9605 is a selective, brain-penetrable Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) inhibitor with an IC₅₀ of 19 nM. Mutations in LRRK2 are associated with Parkinson's disease. GNE-9065 inhibits LRRK2 Ser1292 autophosphorylation in BAC transgenic mice expressing human LRRK2 protein with the G2019S mutation.
