Background: hnRNP G is a glycoprotein, which was originally identified as an autoantigen from German shepherd dogs with lupus-like syndrome. The gene encoding hnRNP G is located on chromosome Xq26 and is ubiquitously expressed. It contains one RNP-consensus RNA binding domain (RBD) and is related to RBMY, which is involved in spermatogenesis, and hnRNP G-T, which is a testis specific protein. All three proteins interact with Tra2b and therefore, are involved in pre-mRNA splicing.
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: hnRNP G (M40) polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of hnRNP G protein.
Molecular Weight: ~ 40 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: RNA-binding motif protein, X chromosome; Glycoprotein p43; Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein G; hnRNP G; RBMX; HNRPG; RBMXP1
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 20-60 of Human hnRNP G.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Unmodification
Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
