Description
Human IL-1β protein | PRP100051 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Product Category: Cytology
Application: Cytokines
Product Type: Cytokines
Sequence: Amino acid sequence derived from mature form of human IL-1β (NP_000567.1) (Ala 117-Ser 269) was expressed.
Activity: 1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human IL-1B at 2 μg/mL (100μl/well) can bind recombinant human IL-1R2 with a linear range of 6.25-400 ng/ml. 2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 2-8 pg/mL. 3. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. 4. Immobilized human IL-1B at 10 μg/mL (100 μl/well) can bind human IL-1R1, The EC50 of human IL-1R1 is 0.48 μg/mL. 5. Measured by its ability to induce Interferon gamma secretion by human natural killer lymphoma NK-92 cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.4-2 ng/mL.
protein Lenght: The recombinant human IL-1β consisting of 154 amino acids migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 17 kDa as estimated in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Preparation: E. coli
Purity: > 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4
Kit Component: N/A
Features & Benefits : N/A

Usage Note: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Human IL-1 beta protein in sterile ddH2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Human IL-1β proteinshould be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.35% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature.
Background: Interleukin-1β (IL-1β or IL-1B) also known as catabolin, is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL-1 is a pleiotropic cytokine. It is involved in the inflammatory response, cell growth, and tissue repair in the cortex. The IL-1 superfamily consists of three members, IL-1A (IL-1 α), IL-1B (IL-1β), and IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra) . In clinical, it has been reported that Interleukin (IL) -1 may influence Th1 / Th2 immune responsiveness and has been implicated in the establishment of successful pregnancy. Proinflammatory interleukin (IL) -1 gene polymorphisms associated with high levels of IL-1β activity increase the risk for hypochlorhydria and distal gastric carcinoma. IL-1B polymorphisms may be involved in susceptibility to SSc. Moreover, the IL-2-384-G allele may be a marker for the limited phenotype of systemic sclerosis (SSc) .
