Description
IFNa2b | E21-005 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Short Description: Recombinant Human Interferon alpha-2b is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Cys24-Glu188 is expressed.
Shipping: Ambient
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 m filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.2.
Storage: Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20C for 3 months.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 g /ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/g (1 IEU/g) as determined by LAL test.
Background: At least 23 different variants of IFN- are known. The individual proteins have molecular masses between 19-26 kDa and consist of proteins with lengths of 156-166 and 172 amino acids. All IFN- subtypes possess a common conserved sequence region between amino acid positions 115-151 while the amino-terminal ends are variable. Many IFN- subtypes differ in their sequences by only one or two positions. Naturally occurring variants also include proteins that are truncated by 10 amino acids at the carboxyl-terminal end.
