Description

IL18R1 (Human) ELISA Kit | E5067-100

Description: Interleukin-18 receptor 1 (IL18R1) also known as CD218a is an interleukin receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is involved in IL18-mediated IFNG synthesis from T-helper 1. This receptor specifically binds interleukin 18 (IL18), and is essential for IL18 mediated signal transduction. IFN-alpha and IL12 are reported to induce the expression of this receptor in NK and T cells. This gene along with four other members of the interleukin 1 receptor family, including IL1R2, IL1R1, ILRL2 (IL-1Rrp2), and IL1RL1 (T1/ST2), form a gene cluster on chromosome 2q. It contributes to IL18-induced cytokine production, either independently of SLC12A3, or as a complex with SLC12A3. ’s IL18R1 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of IL18R1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standds, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of IL18R1 in the sample.
