Description: Interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) is a heterotrimeric protein expressed on the surface of certain immune cells, such as lymphocytes, that binds and responds to a cytokine called IL-2. IL2RB also known as Interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta is a member of the type I cytokine receptor family. IL2RB is the receptor for interleukin-2 and is involved in receptor mediated endocytosis and transduces the mitogenic signals of IL2. The high-affinity form of this receptor is expressed on activated T lymphocytes, activated B lymphocytes, and activated macrophages. IL-2RB plays a role in regulating normal lymphocyte development. Diseases associate with IL2RB protein dysfunction include oligoarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and rheumatoid factor negative juvenile idiopathic arthritis. ’s IL2RB (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of IL2RB in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is bas on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of IL2RB in the sample.
