Description: Interleukin-31 receptor subunit alpha (IL31RA) is a common receptor subunit for IL6 (MIM 147620)-type cytokines. IL31RA and Oncostatin M receptor form the heterodimeric receptor through which IL31 signals. Binding of IL-31 to IL31RA activates Jak/STAT, PI3K/AKT and MAPK pathways. IL31RA usually mediates IL-31 induced inflammation and allergic diseases. It positively regulates numbers and cycling status of immature subsets of myeloid progenitor cells in bone marrow in vivo and enhances myeloid progenitor cell survival in vitro. IL31RA promotes basal-like breast cancer progression and metastasis. ’s IL31RA (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of IL31RA in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wes subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of IL31RA in the sample.
