Shipping: Ambient
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 m filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4.
Storage: Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20C for 3 months.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 g /ml.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: Interleukin-35 is a newest and potent suppressive cytokine of the IL-12 family. Unlike other members of the IL-12 family which are produced mainly by antigen-presenting cells (APCs) , IL-35 has been identified as a potentially immunosuppressive cytokine primarily produced by regulatory T (Treg) cells, and to a lesser extent by activated dendritic cells and macrophages. IL-35 is composed of the IL-12 p35 subunit and the IL-27 EpsteinBarr virus-induced protein 3 (EBI3) subunit. IL-35 plays an important role in many disease models and has been recently shown to have additional functions aside from inhibition of proliferation, including inducing its own expression in non-Treg cells.
