Description
Dp44MT is a cell-permeable iron chelator. This di-2-pyridyl thiosemicarbazone (DpT) based tridentate ligand displays potent and selective antiproliferative properties in neoplastic cells and minimally affects normal cells. Dp44mT prevents aggressive growth of M109 lung carcinoma in mice and has been shown to mobilize cellular iron effectively, and generate ROS leading to apoptosis.
