Background: Catalase peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.7) is a bifunctional antioxidant enzyme encoded by the katG-gene. It exhibits both, catalase and peroxidase activity which provides a protection against oxidative stress by neutralising hydrogen peroxide. The enzyme is present in a number of bacterial taxa, including cyanobacteria.

Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 200 µl of sterile water

Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
