Description
MYLIP Antibody (Center) [APR08595G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M, Rat
Specificity: This MYLIP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 111-139 amino acids from the Central region of human MYLIP.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein
Molecular Weight: 49910
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: MYLIP
Gene ID: 29116
Function: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of myosin regulatory light chain (MRLC), LDLR, VLDLR and LRP8. Activity depends on E2 enzymes of the UBE2D family. Proteasomal degradation of MRLC leads to inhibit neurite outgrowth in presence of NGF by counteracting the stabilization of MRLC by saposin-like protein (CNPY2/MSAP) and reducing CNPY2-stimulated neurite outgrowth. Acts as a sterol-dependent inhibitor of cellular cholesterol uptake by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of LDLR.
Summary: Tissue Location: Ubiquitously expressed.
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P, FC
Dilution: WB--1:2000
Synonyms: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MYLIP, 632-, Inducible degrader of the LDL-receptor, Idol, Myosin regulatory light chain interacting protein, MIR, MYLIP, BZF1, IDOL
