Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This NAAA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 331-359 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human NAAA.
Cellular Localisation: Lysosome. Membrane; Peripheral membrane protein
Molecular Weight: 40066
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: NAAA {ECO:0000303|PubMed:30301806, ECO:0000312|HGNC:HGNC:736}
Gene ID: 27163
Function: Degrades bioactive fatty acid amides to their corresponding acids, with the following preference: N-palmitoylethanolamine > N- myristoylethanolamine > N-lauroylethanolamine = N-stearoylethanolamine > N-arachidonoylethanolamine > N-oleoylethanolamine (PubMed:15655246, PubMed:17980170, PubMed:18793752, PubMed:30301806, PubMed:22825852) . Also exhibits weak hydrolytic activity against the ceramides N- lauroylsphingosine and N-palmitoylsphingosine (PubMed:15655246) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in numerous tissues, with highest levels in liver and kidney, followed by pancreas
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB
Dilution: WB--1:1000
