Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This NALD2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 507-535 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human NALD2.
Cellular Localisation: Cell membrane {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q04609}; Single-pass type II membrane protein {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q04609}
Molecular Weight: 83592
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: NAALAD2
Gene ID: 10003
Function: Has N-acetylated-alpha-linked-acidic dipeptidase (NAALADase) activity. Also exhibits a dipeptidyl-peptidase IV type activity. Inactivates the peptide neurotransmitter N-acetylaspartylglutamate.
Summary: Tissue Location: Highest expression in the testis. Also found in ovary and spleen. Weak expression in prostate, heart and placenta. In brain, expressed in striatum, parietal cortex and ventral striatum with lower levels in hippocampus, brain stem, putamen and superior colliculus
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
