Description
OATP1B3 Stable Expressing HEK293 Cell Line | T6239
A new organic anion transporting polypeptide (OATP) was cloned and expressed; deemed human OATP2. OATP plays an important role in the uptake of a variety of lipophilic anions into the human liver. HEK293 cells were transfected with the genes to express the recombinant OATP2 protein onto the lateral membrane of the cells. OATP1B3 Stable Expressing HEK293 Cell Line presents a good model to study the molecular mechanism behind the uptake of organic anions such as bilirubin conjugates and sulfobromophthalein into the human liver.
