Paraformaldehyde solution 4% in PBS is commonly used to preserve tissues for routine histology in many labs. Paraformaldehyde solution 4% in PBS solution should be clear, colorless, with no precipitate and the pH 7.0 - 7.6 (25°C). Paraformaldehyde solution 4% is supplied as a 4% Paraformaldehyde solution in 1X PBS. Paraformaldehyde solution 4% in PBS can be used to recognize and stabilize the expression of intracellular antigen.

Usage :

We recommend solutions are used for no longer than 3 months from when they are made. Aliquot and freeze at -20°C for long-term storage.
