PFKL Antibody (Center K433) [APR06073G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies

Host: Rabbit

Species Reactivity: H

Specificity: This PFKL antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 371-399 amino acids from the Central region of human PFKL.

Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03184}.

Molecular Weight: 85018

Clone: Polyclonal

Gene Name: PFKL (HGNC:8876)

Gene ID: 5211

Function: Catalyzes the phosphorylation of D-fructose 6-phosphate to fructose 1, 6-bisphosphate by ATP, the first committing step of glycolysis (PubMed:22923583) . Negatively regulates the phagocyte oxidative burst in response to bacterial infection by controlling cellular NADPH biosynthesis and NADPH oxidase-derived reactive oxygen species. Upon macrophage activation, drives the metabolic switch toward glycolysis, thus preventing glucose turnover that produces NADPH via pentose phosphate pathway (By similarity) .

Summary: N/A

Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.

Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Application: WB

Dilution: WB--1:1000
