POLR2F polyclonal Antibody | BS7688 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human

Application: WB IF

Application Range: WB 1:500 - 1:2000 IF 1:50 - 1:100

Background: POLR2F belongs to the archaeal rpoK/eukaryotic RPB6 RNA polymerase subunit family and is the sixth largest subunit of RNA polymerase II. This polymerase, along with two other DNA-directed RNA polymerases, is responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. Three distinct zinc-containing RNA polymerases are found in eukaryotic nuclei: polymerase I for the ribosomal RNA precursor, polymerase II for the mRNA precursor, and polymerase III for 5S and tRNA genes. Each class of RNA polymerase is assembled from 9 to 15 different polypeptides. In yeast, this polymerase subunit, in combination with at least two other subunits, forms a structure that stabilizes the transcribing polymerase on the DNA template.

Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: POLR2F polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of POLR2F protein.
