Description
Ramipril is a non-peptide, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 5 nM). A prodrug that is hydrolyzed in vivo to the active metabolite ramiprilat. Displays protective effects on endothelium against high-glucose induced dysfunction. Displays antihypertensive effects.
