Background: SAM (S-adenosylmethionin synthetase) is an enzyme which catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. The overall synthetic reaction is composed of two sequential steps. It is a donor of methyl groups in methylation reactions, and is involved in a number of processes such as: response to cadmium ions and salt stress, as well as, ethylene and lignin biosynthesis.

Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water

Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
