Description

SLC28A1 Antibody (Center) [APR32789G] | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies

Host: Rabbit

Species Reactivity: H

Specificity: This SLC28A1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 381-409 amino acids from the Central region of human SLC28A1.

Cellular Localisation: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein

Molecular Weight: 71584

Clone: Polyclonal

Gene Name: SLC28A1

Gene ID: 9154

Function: Sodium-dependent and pyrimidine-selective transporter (PubMed:21998139) . Exhibits the transport characteristics of the nucleoside transport system cit or N2 subtype (N2/cit) (selective for pyrimidine nucleosides and adenosine) . Transports uridine, cytidine, thymidine, and nucleoside-derived drugs (PubMed:21998139) . Transports the antiviral pyrimidine nucleoside analogs 3'-azido-3'-deoxythymidine (AZT) and 2', 3'-dideoxycytidine (ddC) . It may be involved in the intestinal absorption and renal handling of pyrimidine nucleoside analogs used to treat acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) . It has the following selective inhibition: adenosine, thymidine, cytidine, uridine >> guanosine, inosine.

Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in kidney.

Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Application: WB

Dilution: WB--1:2000
