Description

SPATA4 Antibody | 6553 | Gentaur UK, US & Europe Distribution

Host: Rabbit

Reactivity: Human, Mouse

Homology: N/A

Immunogen: SPATA4 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of human SPATA4.
The immunogen is located within amino acids 200 - 250 of SPATA4.

Research Area: Apoptosis

Tested Application: E, WB, IHC-P, IF

Application: SPATA4 antibody can be used for detection of SPATA4 by Western blot at 1 - 2 μg/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 2.5 μg/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 20 μg/mL.
Antibody validated: Western Blot in mouse samples; Immunohistochemistry in mouse samples and Immunofluorescence in mouse samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.

Specificiy: At least two isoforms of SPATA4 are known to exist; this antibody will detect both isoforms. SPATA4 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with SPATA protein family members

Alternate Name: SPATA4 Antibody: SPEF1B, TSARG2, Spermatogenesis-associated protein 4, Testis and spermatogenesis cell-related protein 2

User Note: Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher.

BACKGROUND: SPATA4 Antibody: The spermatogenesis associated protein 4 (SPATA4) protein, also known as TSARG1, is highly expressed in testis, and to a much lower extent in other tissues. SPATA4 contains a highly conserved DUF1042 domain, but no significant homology with any other known protein. SPATA4 is thought to play an important role in the development of cryptorchid testis and is a testis-specific apoptosis candidate oncogene.
