Background: SPSA1 catalyzes the rate-limiting step of sucrose biosynthesis from UDP-glucose and fructose-6-phosphate. It plays a role in regulation of carbon partitioning in the leaves of plants. Furthermore, it is important for sucrose availability which is essential for plant growth and fiber elongation. SPSA1 is also necessary for nectar secretion.Alternative names: Sucrose-phosphate synthase 1, SPS1, Sucrose-phosphate synthase 1F, SPS1F, Sucrose-phosphate synthase 5.1, SPS5.1, UDP-glucose-fructose-phosphate glucosyltransferase

Reconstitution: For reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water

Storage: Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
