Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This TP73 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 288-317 amino acids from the Central region of human TP73.
Cellular Localisation: Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Note=Accumulates in the nucleus in response to DNA damage
Molecular Weight: 69623
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: TP73
Gene ID: 7161
Function: Participates in the apoptotic response to DNA damage. Isoforms containing the transactivation domain are pro-apoptotic, isoforms lacking the domain are anti-apoptotic and block the function of p53 and transactivating p73 isoforms. May be a tumor suppressor protein.
Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in striatal neurons of patients with Huntington disease (at protein level) . Brain, kidney, placenta, colon, heart, liver, spleen, skeletal muscle, prostate, thymus and pancreas Highly expressed in fetal tissue.
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
