Description

Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a natural compound present in food plants of the Brassica genus, including broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and kale. Displays antitumor and proapoptotic properties in animal and in in vitro models of cancer. Also acts a selective and potent inhibitor of cancer stem cells, and HDAC activity in prostate cancer cells. Recently, it has been shown that DIM induces apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells by inhibiting JAK2/STAT3.
