Description
Lomitapide is a small molecule that lowers total cholesterol levels by inhibiting microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTTP) and preventing the assembly of apoB-containing lipoproteins and VLDL synthesis. Lomitapide is also a substrate and inhibitor of CYP3A4.
