Description
OAC3 (Oct4-activating compound3) is an activator of octamer-binding transcription factor 4 (Oct4). Oct4 is an important regulator of embryonic stem cells pluripotency. It is used to generate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) with the transcription factors Sox2, Klf4, and c-Myc as a quartet. OAC3 at a concentration of 1 μM enhances reprogramming efficiency of mouse embryonic fibroblasts and generation of iPSC colonies.
