Description: IL-2 is a powerful immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions which are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Recombinant human IL-2 (modified at the C-terminal end) is a 15.5 kDa protein, containing 156 amino acid residues including one intrachain disulfide bond.
Purity Confirmation: > 98% by SDS-PAGE
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng per µg of IL-2
Formulation: lyophilized
Storage Handling Stability: The lyophilized IL-2, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted IL-2 should be stored in workingaliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstituation: The lyophilized IL-2 should be reconstituted in 50mM acetic acid to a concentration not less than 100µg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20°C for future use.
