Description
Urokinase (UK) is a serine protease, which is one of biological plasminogen activators. It is involved in a number of biological functions including fibrinolysis, embryogenesis, cell migration, tissue remodeling, ovulation, and wound healing. It can be obtained from human urine or kidney cell culture. UK is a two-chain glycoprotein containing 411 amino acids with 12 dissulfide bonds. Its molecular weight is 54,000.

Biological activity: s human Leptin has been shown to be biologically active in two different mouse obesity models, ob/ob and NZO. Both strains of mice were treated via intraperitoneal injection once daily at a dose of 5 mg Leptin/gm of body weight for 7 days. Significant effects on body weight, food consumption, and plasma glucose levels were observed to saline-treated controls.
